Can hand-scoring be made quicker and easier?

Answer: We offer scoring templates that fit over the forms to indicate the syndrome and DSM-oriented scales on which the problem items are scored.  The time taken to score profiles usually decreases with experience.  However, we recommend using our Windows software to computer score the forms whenever possible, as this is quicker and more accurate.  The software stores scores for subsequent analysis, as well as printing hard-copy profiles whenever desired.  In addition, the software displays comparisons of item scores, scale scores, and cross-informant correlations for up to 8 CBCL/1.5-5 and C-TRF forms per child.
