# How accurate are parents’ reports of vocabulary?

**Answer:  **As reported in Chapter 9 of our Preschool Manual, correlations between LDS vocabulary scores and other measures of language development have been high in numerous studies.  Test-retest correlations and internal consistency as measured by Cronbach's (1951) *alpha *have also been very high, as reported in Chapter 8.
