Should there be separate norms for mothers' and fathers' CBCL ratings or for different ethnic or socioeconomic groups?

Answer: As detailed in Chapter 9, differences between the mean scale scores obtained from mothers' and fathers' ratings were very small.  As detailed in Chapter 10, ethnic differences in scale scores were also very small.  Socioeconomic differences were somewhat larger but were too small compared to the differences between referred and non-referred children to warrant separate norms.
