Answer: For most of our behavioral forms, there are no authorized shorter forms. Most respondents can complete forms in about 15 to 20 minutes. Data from subsets of items cannot be compared to our reliability, validity, and normative data. Consequently, it would not make sense to abbreviate the forms. However, if time is at a premium, respondents can omit the open-ended items on page 2. If users wish to obtain data for only the adaptive items (pp. 1-2) or only the problem items (pp. 3-4), respondents can be asked to omit the unwanted pages.
For our Brief Problem Monitor forms for school age and adults, these forms are used for periodic assessments over a short period of time (days, weeks, or months), and are not as long.
