What if the child uses a word such as “brush” to indicate an action, but the word is listed under the category of “Personal” words?
Answer: Many words in early vocabularies can be used as either nouns (object labels) or verbs (references to actions). When the child uses just one word at a time, the part of the speech cannot be clearly determined. We have placed each LDS word in the category that seems most appropriate, but if the child seems to use an object word as a verb or vice versa, circle the word wherever it appears on the vocabulary list.
