Why are no norms shown for the “Other Problems” listed on the Profile?
Answer: The “Other Problems” on the profile do not constitute a scale. They are merely the problem items that our factor analyses did not identify as belonging to any single syndrome. There are thus no associations among them to warrant treating them as a specific scale. However, each of these problems may be important in its own right, and they are all included in the Total Problems score. To facilitate computing the Total Problems score by hand, a box is provided below the list of Other Problems to enter the sum of their scores. This sum is then added to the syndrome scale scores to obtain the Total Problems score.
