How ASEBA scoring software handles scoring of forms with incomplete or missing data
The current rules for ASEBA scoring software if a form is scored that has incomplete or missing data:
- If the form is missing more than 20 problem items, a warning is displayed to the user at scoring that the form is invalid. No scores or charts are produced.
- If the form is missing 8 or more Problem Items, a warning is displayed to the user that the form scores are of questionable validity.
- If the form is missing less than 8 problem items, the missing problem items are treated as if the informant answered them with “0” and scores are generated accordingly.
Note that the software only considers problem items in this assessment. Missing or incomplete data in the competence, adaptive, or personal strength scales do not affect this rule.
