Why aren’t there multicultural norm groups for the tobacco, alcohol, and drug items?
< 1 min read
Answer: We have not constructed multicultural norm groups for the substance use items because the scores were too skewed in several societies. However, answers to the ASR and ABCL questions about the number of days in the preceding 6 months on which tobacco and drugs were used and the number of days drunk are apt to be useful for evaluating individuals. The MMO/18-59 and MFAM display the substance use scores in relation to the 2003 U.S. norms for men and women at ages 18-35 and 36-59.
