Can hand scoring be made quicker and easier?

Answer: We offer scoring templates that fit over pages 2 and 3 of the forms to indicate the Personal Strengths, syndrome, and DSM-oriented scales on which the items are scored. The time taken to score profiles usually decreases with experience. However, we recommend using the ASEBA computer scoring software (preschool, school age, adult or older adult)  to compute score the forms whenever possible, as this is quicker and more accurate. The software enables users to edit data and to store scores for subsequent analysis, as well as to print paper profiles whenever desired. In addition, the software displays comparisons of item scores, scale scores, and cross-informant correlations for up to 10 forms per assessed person.
