Why are no Internalizing or Externalizing scales scored from the older adult forms?
< 1 min read
Answer: For other ASEBA forms, factor analyses of correlations between syndrome scales (i.e., “second-order” factor analyses) have yielded two groupings of syndromes designated as “Internalizing” and “Externalizing.” However, as detailed in Chapter 7, we did not find clear-cut Internalizing and Externalizing groupings of OASR and OABCL syndromes. Consequently, we did not construct Internalizing and Externalizing scales for the older adult forms.
