Can the CBCL/6-18 and the CBCL/1½-5 be filled out by people other than parents?

Both CBCL forms are designed to be filled out by people who know the child well and interact with the child as parents do. Adoptive parents, foster parents, relatives, and other adults who live with a child are appropriate respondents. For children in residential care and other institutional settings, child care workers who know the children well would be appropriate respondents (Albrecht, Veerman, Damen, & Kroes, 2001).
