How to Install ASEBA-PC, Add ASEBA age modules and How to Reset your ASEBA-PC password

How to Install Aseba-PC, Add ASEBA Age Modules, and How to Reset your ASEBA-PC password

There are two ways to install Aseba-PC, one is by CD, and the other is by receiving the electronic version through the University of Vermont file transfer.  Either way, please double-click on the executable (ASEBA-PCv3.0.136.0.exe or whichever version you have) to start the installation.

You will be asked for administrative permission to install the program, if you do not have administrative rights on your computer, you will need to ask your IT department to give you the rights, or for them to install the software for you. It will look similar to this:

The program will start to install,  click Next

Some older computers may be asked to install a program called C++, click yes to install.

Click I accept the terms in the license agreement:

Click Install

If you have a previous program installed and you are installing a new program over the old one, you will see a black box pop up that states that the database was found and the license was found and this box will close on its own.

 You will then click Finish.

A window will then pop up for you to enter the serial numbers of the age modules that you have purchased to use in the program.

Please type in your 4 sets of 5 characters into the Serial Numbers blank, then fill in the information of your name, company, email and phone, Then click on “Add New ASEBA Modules!”, so that the serial number age module drops down into the 2nd window.  If you do not click on Add New ASEBA Modules button, the age module will not drop into the program and the forms will not be available for you.

If you see this window pop up – it is not an error – it is just letting you know that that particular age module has already been added to the program. Click OK

and close the Add Aseba Modules window.

Click on the program icon to start the program.  The default login credentials are admin for username and Password77 for the username.  If you get invalid credentials after trying these credentials,  please reset the password as follows below: Click on the link "I forgot my password".

(If you don’t see the link, you have an older version and you will need to update the program by emailing ASEBA Tech Support at for an updated installer (free to customers who already own ASEBA-PC).

You will see this window next.  Click Next.

This does not delete data, just users that you can recreate.

Your login credentials have been changed to the default login of username: admin and password: Password77.  Click close.

Please login with the above credentials. You will be forced to reset the default password.

Your account has been set back to the username admin  and password  Password77.

Please sign in with the default login credentials and you will be forced to reset the password again.
